About Email Alerts: A unique feature of the COMPLYLEX™ application shows our commitment to keeping you up-to-date on changes to legislation and practice. Tick the box and we will send you occasional email alerts or summaries of important updates to our content. We don't want you to miss anything so we encourage you to subscribe. You can change your email options on the Account Profile page.

You must create a password (8 or more characters) but you may prefer to choose a longer passphrase. These are stored in a way that cannot be read or recovered but we have provided a reset password facility on the Account Profile page.

Periodically changing your password is no longer recommended but you should certainly never reuse a password from a different system.

After you click the Register button (if all the entries were valid) you should receive an email containing a link to verify your email address. Please verify promptly otherwise the link may expire. If you do not receive the verification email, please check your spam folder. If you are using a business email account, please ask your technical support staff if they need to allow our email addresses: no‑reply@complylex.com or support@complylex.com through their spam filters.

COMPLYLEX™ is a Progressive Web Application (PWA): The COMPLYLEX™ web application will run like a normal website in most modern browsers but you can also install it as a Progressive Web Application (PWA) on your device. The PWA then runs like any other app and you do not need to open your browser. A PWA can also make some content available when you are offline (see below).

Installing on your Android phone: When you browse to https://complylex.com on an Android phone, you should see a prompt asking you to 'Add Complylex to Homescreen'. You can then close the browser and move the icon to a convenient place.

Installing on your iPhone: When you browse to https://complylex.com in Safari on iOS, depending on the versions of your browser and operating system, you may see a prompt asking you to 'Add Complylex to Homescreen'. If not, simply click the 'Share' button then 'Add to Homescreen'. You can then close the browser and move the icon to a convenient place.

Installing on your Desktop: When you use Chrome and browse to https://complylex.com, you can 'Install Complylex' to your desktop as a PWA by clicking the install icon:

You can then close the browser and move the desktop icon to a convenient place.

The above methods will install the complete website as a PWA on your device and it should now work in a similar way to other apps but without needing to open the browser. We are working towards making the content available offline when you are not connected to the internet.

Problems with cache: If you notice something isn't quite right, you should first try clearing the cache via the Chrome or Safari browser privacy settings. This will refresh and update the PWA. Any additions or updates to the compliance content should be seen without any intervention.

Removing the PWA: You can safely uninstall and reinstall the PWA without affecting your registration or subscriptions.

Subscribing to a Package: If you are an individual or an office manager/owner, you can register as a user then purchase a recurring subscription for any package. This will grant you immediate access to all the sectors in the package but will also allow you to share the Agent Package Unlock Code with users in one office (limit depends on the package).

Your subscriber's Unlock Codes are visible on the Manage Subscriptions page.

Using an Unlock Code: If your office manager or owner has subscribed to a package and given you an Unlock Code, then you can register as a user and enter the Unlock Code to access all the sectors in the subscribed package.

Protecting your Personal Login: You must not share your login credentials with anyone since this will restrict your own access and potentially increase the cost to the subscriber.

Unsubscribing: If you are an office user or subscriber then you will have unlimited access to your subscribed sectors as long as the subscription payments continue. The subscriber can unsubscribe from a package at any time but this will immediately remove access to all other office users who unlocked that package.

Free Sectors: We may offer various free sectors from time to time but please note that these are subject to change or withdrawal without notice.

Customer Portal and Billing: If you are a current subscriber you can access the Stripe Portal via the Subscriptions page. If your card expires you can add a new one and then set it as the default.

How often is the content updated? We do not guarantee that any information is completely up-to-date but we do anticipate important changes in legislation and endeavour to make appropriate updates within a reasonable time. You can subscribe to receive our Email Alerts by ticking the box on your Account Profile page.

Should I copy parts of the text? All our content is protected by copyright. Aside from that restriction, if you copy any of the compliance text and pass it to a third party, you run the risk that the information is out-of-date, inappropriate or taken out of context.

Is the data available offline? We are working towards making the PWA 'Offline First'. This will allow you to use the progressive web application (PWA) when you are in a remote location or where the Wi-Fi coverage is poor or intermittent. Some functionality may be restricted but the important text will still be readable.

Can I suggest a new sector or topic? Of course. Please email us with a few details and we will be glad to review your suggestions.

Can I change my password? When you are logged in, the Change Password button is on the Account Profile page.

You should never reuse a password from another system (email, banking etc) but we do not recommend that you change your password periodically since this can reduce your security. However, you should always change your password if you suspect it has been compromised.

TIP: A passphrase is often easier to remember than a password but whatever you choose, please make it as long as possible and always longer than eight characters.

How can I reset my password? Click the 'Reset Here' link on the Login page. We send you an email with a link to reset your password. We cannot send you your current password since it is stored in a way that makes it unreadable.

• Search All To avoid overlooking important information in related sectors, the Search All facility now displays matching results in all sectors.
The last fifteen search terms are displayed in a table so you can quickly repeat a search.
• Sectors A new side menu makes it easier to switch sectors.
• Bookmarks All your bookmarks are now grouped by sector with the current sector at the top.
• Copy Link This copies a direct topic link to the clipboard so you can bookmark it in your browser or paste it into an email.
